Data from the Czech European Health Examination Survey (EHES) was used. The initial EHES was conducted in 2014. The survey’s main goal was to obtain actual and relevant information about non-communicable diseases and their risk factors among the Czech middle-aged population. EHES study was a cross-sectional survey conducted in the Czech Republic in 2019 on a representative sample of 7995 participants. It consisted of four modules on health status, health care use, health determinants, and socio-economic background variables. The data were collected by a professional interviewer who administered a questionnaire. Respondents (aged 25–64 years) of the EHIS were further asked to participate in the EHES survey.
